The Embassy of the Republic of Korea is pleased to announce the following vacant posts:

1. Consular Legal Assistant/ Editor

Qualifications:

a. Female / not more than 35 years old;

b. Graduate of Bachelor of Laws;

c. Has work experience as legal assistant for at least two years;

d. Knowledge and experience in government transactions particularly legal and

    immigration matters;

e. Good connection and contacts with government agencies is an advantage

Job Descriptions:

a. Responsible for memoranda and letters-editing for Consular Section;

b. In charge of arranging meetings for top officials including the preparation for

    talking points and meeting memorandum;

c. Provides well-researched advice on legal implications of consular transactions

    and issues with government agencies;

d. Responsible for legal and police researches for reliable reference works

    submitted officially to Korean Government;

e. Prepares speeches for Consuls for conference and other meetings;

f. Prepares conference and important meetings;

g. Prepares monthly and yearly summary report for consular section; and

h. Assists the Consuls in complex issues relating to tasks of Consular Section.

2. Consular Assistant/ Liaison Officer

Qualifications:

a. Male / not more than  35 years old;

b. Bachelor's Degree and has completed at least two years of Bachelor of Laws;

c. Has work experience as legal assistant for at least one year;

d. Knowledge and experience in government transactions particularly legal and

    immigration matters;

e. Good connection and contacts with government agencies is an advantage

Job Descriptions:

a. Assists in preparation of memoranda and letters for consular section;

b. assists Consuls in police and legal matters;

c. serves as liaison of the embassy to government agencies for official missions;

d. other tasks assigned in connection with diplomatic mission
